Voice AI WITHOUT Call Forwarding
Important: If you are not using call forwarding and have a Voice AI Agent, the AI Agent will always answer inbound calls unless the number assigned to it is your default sub-account phone number.
Why use this setup?
This configuration is ideal if your team is too busy to handle calls manually. The AI Voice Agent acts as a virtual assistant, answering calls, collecting leads, and gathering customer information for follow-up.
How to Set It Up:
Do NOT assign your default account phone number to the AI Agent.
Do NOT enable call forwarding on the number assigned to the AI Agent.
This ensures the AI Agent answers all inbound calls directly.

Voice AI WITH Call Forwarding
If you prefer to forward inbound calls to your office or mobile phone but want the AI Agent to handle unanswered calls, follow these steps.
How to Set It Up:
Assign your default account phone number to the AI Agent.
Enable call forwarding on the number assigned to the AI Agent.
Important Notes:
Reduce the “Inbound Call Timeout” to ensure callers don’t reach your local voicemail.
If a call reaches local voicemail, Pest AI will mark it as "completed," preventing the AI Agent from answering.
