Previously, using Greylabel domains across sub-accounts posed risks. A negative reputation from one sub-account could impact email deliverability for everyone sharing the same domain, leading to emails being marked as spam and reducing communication effectiveness.
To address this issue, we've enabled domain customization at the sub-account level. Now, each sub-account can use its own unique branded domain for email templates, invoices, forms, and other outbound links. This isolates the domain's reputation to the specific sub-account, ensuring better deliverability for all users.
Configuring your API Domain (Branded Domain) at the sub-account creates a default branded domain that will be used for only that sub-account.
To configure a branded domain at the Sub-Account:
Click the "Add Domain" button and the domain connect wizard will launch. Follow the prompts to have the wizard automatically create the CNAME in your domain registrar
Go to your domain registrar and create a CNAME record in your DNS settings for (using the example above) 'links' that points to brand.ludicrous.cloud
IMPORTANT: Scroll to the bottom of Sub-Account Settings > Business Profile page and click the "Update Information" button to save your changes.
Note: If you previously set up your API/Branded domain and want to update it to run on brand.ludicrous.cloud, you'll need to first clear the API/Branded Domain field, click Update Company to save, then re-enter your sub-domain into the API/Branded Domain field and save again.
The API Domain is not for development purposes and is only designed to white label (or mask) the links generated for the features mentioned above. Your API Domain will not function as a replacement for any API Documentation provided. Please use the endpoints exactly as provided if you are developing third-party integrations. We currently do not offer white label API endpoints.
